The Dyslexia Den - Patient, Friendly One to One Tuition

About Me

I have worked as an Early Years Worker in a pre-school setting and as a Learning Support Assistant and Teaching Assistant in Primary School and with children with a variety of Special Educational Needs.

In 2006, I set up a voluntary group called Blinded By The Light, to raise awareness of visual dyslexia, also known as Scotopic Sensitivty or Irlen Syndrome.

In my spare time I am secretary of the Lincolnshire and South Humberside PATOSS Association and a volunteer member of the Lincolnshire Parent Carer Council, supporting parents and carers of children with disabilities and additional needs.

I have two children ,one with dyslexia and fully appreciate the concern and stress parents and their child can feel when they struggle at school. It was  due to my own  daughter's  difficulties  and lack of specialist tuition locally  that I decided to train to be a dyslexia  tutor.
